Introduction
Marvel Rivals immerses players in the Marvel Universe, allowing them to control a diverse roster of superheroes and villains in 6v6 team-based battles. The game emphasizes strategic team compositions, dynamic hero synergies, and interactive environments to deliver an engaging experience for both Marvel fans and shooter enthusiasts.
Gameplay Overview
Game Modes
Marvel Rivals offers a variety of game modes to cater to different playstyles:
-
Convoy: Teams alternate between offense and defense. The offensive team escorts a moving payload through the map by capturing it, while defenders aim to stop its progress by eliminating opponents and reclaiming the payload. Success is achieved by escorting the payload to the final checkpoint within a time limit.
-
Domination: Both teams compete to capture and hold a single control point on compact maps. Holding the point increases a team's score over time, and the first team to reach 100% captures the point. Matches consist of multiple rounds, each on different maps, and the first team to win two rounds is victorious.
-
Convergence: Similar to Convoy, but requires the offensive team to first capture a control point before the payload becomes active. Once activated, the payload must be escorted through additional checkpoints, with the defensive team attempting to halt their progress.
-
Conquest: A team deathmatch mode where eliminating opponents causes them to drop points that can be collected. Allies can also collect these points to deny them from the enemy. The game ends when a team reaches 50 points or has the most points when time expires.
-
Doom Match: A free-for-all deathmatch where up to 12 players compete to achieve the most eliminations. The first player to reach 16 eliminations wins, or the player with the highest score when time runs out is declared the winner.
Players can engage in Quick Matches, which are non-ranked games featuring Domination, Convoy, and Convergence modes. Domination is the only non-competitive mode that features multiple rounds.
